ABOUT the PRESENTERS:

Kern Dance Alliance (KDA) is a nonprofit dance advocacy organization supporting and promoting dance + the arts in Kern County, California.

The Bakersfield Young Professionals (BYP) Council works to elevate and support Bakersfield’s young professionals as emerging business, civic, and community leaders by educating the young professional community on local commerce and government, supporting development initiatives, and connecting young professionals with community leaders. BYP strives to inspire and encourage professional development, networking, and social connectedness and provide philanthropic opportunities for young professionals to give back to the community and its citizens.

BYP hosts various events throughout the year, including the annual Downtown Street Party each October and quarterly Pub Club networking events. Additionally, BYP partners with the Kern Community Foundation to host Philanthropy on Tap–a free monthly series that gives community nonprofits a platform to share with interested young professionals and community members their services, needs, and volunteer opportunities to connect.
