A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL DANCING WITH THE ANGELS PARTNERS, SPONSORS, and VOLUNTEERS!

Kern Dance Alliance and the Bakersfield Angels are excited to announce Dancing with the Angels, a family affair focused on using the arts to connect our foster care community through movement, music, and visual art.

On Saturday April 9 at Garces Memorial High School, Dancing with the Angels will feature dance classes taught by Kern County dance educators from the Bakersfield City Ballet, Bakersfield Line Dancers, and DAT Krew. Additionally, the Playful Space will provide hands-on visual art experiences, and a music education class will offer an introduction to a variety of instruments.

Dancing with the Angels is a FREE event.  Participants will receive snacks donated by Bolthouse Farms, a free lunch sponsored by Subway, and they will take home a commemorative Dancing with the Angels t-shirt!

Dancing with the Angels is rooted in connecting parents/guardians with their children. Dancing with the Angels will foster creativity and self-expression, promote trust and communication, build confidence and teamwork, and will offer a day where achievements are celebrated and memories are made through a valued community experience.

DANCING with the ANGELS PARTNER - BAKERSFIELD ANGELS

Bakersfield Angels was founded in 2020 as a local chapter of the national non-profit, National Angels. Their mission is to walk alongside children, youth and families experiencing foster care in Kern County, by offering consistent support through relationship building, intentional giving, and mentorship. The Love Box program matches groups of volunteers with fostering families to provide a sense of community and support. The Dare to Dream program provides consistent, one-on-one mentorship to youth in foster care. They believe not everyone is called to foster, and not everyone is called to adopt, but everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. www.bakersfieldangels.org
