A DAY OF SERVICE
The Children’s Dance Education and Outreach Event is a day of service dedicated to our community children. KDA understands that this event may conflict with dancer’s school commitments; however, KDA has created an official waiver allowing dancers to take the day off from school. KDA recommends making accommodations with school teachers and administrators to submit work early.
Need community service? KDA will happily sign off on all community service requests.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Kern Dance Alliance is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Children’s Dance Education and Outreach Event at the Fox Theater on Thursday, November 16, 2017. This special event benefits local children from the Bakersfield Homeless Center, CASA, Garden Pathways, Boys and Girls Club, and other organizations that serve socio and economically disadvantaged children by providing them with an afternoon of dance at one of Kern County’s most treasured theaters.
Sponsored by the Arts Council of Kern, Stria, and the Fox Theater Foundation, the Children’s Dance Education and Outreach Event provides children with a live dance performance, dance class/choreography, and the opportunity to perform on the Fox stage.
